Thank you to the moon and back!

By |March 31st, 2011|Uncategorized|3 Comments

I always promised myself that I would be honest with my blog posts relating to motherhood.  I did not want to mask the reality of what was happening in my world, instead open it right up for all to see and expose the reality of being a mum of 2 under 2. I have had an absolute sh*t of a morning! It may seem funny that I have used a picture with the word thank you for this post.  Read on.   […]

A balancing act…

By |March 27th, 2011|Business, Career, Life|0 Comments

I stumbled across this quote: “Live a balanced life – learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.” Robert Fulghum I like the fact that it covers work, study or applying thought as well as what may be fun or down time. So how do you make sure you have a balanced approach to your life.  Life is made up of many things and for each of us that wheel of life may look different. […]

Get up and go!

By |March 23rd, 2011|Uncategorized|0 Comments

My mum went home to the UK on Friday and I was really dreading this week.  Tackling the littlies on my own, all day!  It has been great having a spare pair of hands and feet for the last 3 weeks. I needed to have a word with myself on Sunday night as I could feel my anxiety levels rising as bed time approached.  This was also not helped by the fact we had been rained in all weekend and were expecting more of the same Monday. So I took the day as it came.  I relaxed into it.  I had nothing to do except be with my children. […]

Would your boss tell you?

By |March 20th, 2011|Career|0 Comments

I was really cross reading an article in the Sunday Telegraph at the weekend.  The ‘full page’ article was suggesting that women should inform their bosses and potential new employers that they were planning to have a baby. How ridiculous?  My immediate reaction was ‘Would my boss or potential new boss tell me?” […]

Cheerleaders – who are yours?

By |March 18th, 2011|Business, Career, Life|0 Comments

Part of my coaching program is to identify and if necessary source a support network to help you with your  goal.  I fondly refer to these people as my cheerleaders.  I imagine them calling from the sidelines “go Sally  go…” They instill confidence and offer ‘cheer’ when I need it. Sometimes it is all about timing as to knowing who these people are, or seeking them out if necessary.  With your career this may feature colleagues, previous and present, referees, friends, mentors and associations.  With business it may even feature your competitors who keep you on your toes. Sharing Baby’s tears…

By |March 17th, 2011|Uncategorized|1 Comment

Picture the scene – 3am and your baby is fed, changed and still crying having woken at 1am.  The room is dark, you are  tired and trying your hardest to comfort your baby.  But she still cries.  And cries. We have had a few nights like this since our Little Lady entered our world.  Not in succession  fortunately.  And of course they are to be expected.  She is only 21 days old. […]

Baby’s performance review

By |March 13th, 2011|Uncategorized|2 Comments

It has been a great couple of weeks bumping into people in my local community who notice that my bump is now a baby in a carrier or stroller.  Having said that one person asked me if I have actually had the baby – at which point I looked down at my ‘wobbly’ bump in utter disbelief! A lot of people ask after our Little Lady and how she is doing, often followed up with – is she a good baby?  Let me think about that. […]

Shopping Mall madness

By |March 12th, 2011|Uncategorized|1 Comment

Picture the scene, baby in Baby Bjorn carrier, toddler in buggy.  Mummy feeling like she has got it together and proudly walking around the shopping centre with money and vouchers to spend. I don’t know what I was thinking.  Having Little Lady in her carrier it was not like I could try things on and some of the shops were so full of clothes that I could not manoeuvre the Little Fella in his buggy.   […]

Baby + Toddler + Deadlines = Mayhem

By |March 11th, 2011|Uncategorized|2 Comments

So Friday we had a challenge on our hands.  Jenson has a swimming lesson at 8.30am at an indoor pool and mum was gagging to go shopping so as we were halfway to the huge shopping mall we figured we may as well continue on after for a bit of a shop.  As you do. Sounds quite straightforward hey.  Well talk about military operation. […]

Some people have all the luck!

By |March 10th, 2011|Business, Career, Life|0 Comments

I caught up with one of my clients this week.   So many good things are happening for her right now and she seems to be on a roll. So is this success all about luck or has she planned for the cards to be dealt this way? I am sure there is a bit of both, but as the saying goes, the more you prepare the luckier you are.   […]
